Brenda repatriated from Egypt to Canada in June 2011. She is grateful to live with her daughter, Janelle, in Langley, B.C. After 20 years in Cairo and 18 years of teaching at Cairo American College the transition back to Canada has gone remarkably smooth. Being close to family again has filled a sweet spot in her heart. Nana-sitting fills her cup to the brim, and counseling at her church keeps her on the growing edge. These are two of the main ways she has found to continue to give back. Her schedule now allows for more free time to travel, enjoy adventures around beautiful B.C. and raise a four-legged grand-pup named Milly.
Janelle has been enjoying her role as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2008. She continues to be fascinated by the complexities of the human body, more specifically how we heal, and how we function in the presence of various stressors. She has had the opportunity to teach and come along side others to educate, encourage and empower them in their personal health journeys. Janelle is honored to be a roommate with her mom and enjoys her fun loving role as auntie. She looks forward to all that God has for her in the years ahead.
Tim also lives in Langley, B.C. His company, Pyramid Stoneworks, operates mostly in Vancouver providing tile and stone services to some of the highest end residential properties in the area. He prides himself in the company’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Working for such builders and home owners, he gets to be involved with some truly unique projects where his imagination and creativity can flow. He still loves to mountain bike and boat with his dogs Kai and Maverick. He also likes to spend time at home with his cats Betty Lou, Bruce and Finn. Tim’s pets are rescued from animal shelters, and he feels passionate about animal welfare.
Michelle lives with her husband and three children in Abbotsford, B.C. Cohen (9) loves reading, basketball and playing LEGO. Tylin (7) is a social butterfly with a very creative mind and a love for dance and gymnastics. Nora (5) loves singing, dancing and providing the family with a good laugh. Michelle felt honored to be an at home mom for these early childhood years. Now, with all three children in school she has chosen to return to work as an RN focussing on maternity. She has a passion to use her personal experiences to help others transition into parenthood. Curt has been working as a realtor with RE/MAX since 2012 and has a passion for connecting with and serving people. Curt, Michelle and their children love hiking, biking, swimming and spending quality time at their cabin.
